Lawyer and wine enthusiast António Guerreiro has worked with enthusiastic winemaker Nuno Martins to revolutionize the Arruda dos Vinhos region. In a beautiful hillside vineyard with Jurassic limestone and clay-limestone soils with incredible potential, they achieve excellent freshness and tension in their wines. The 6 hectares of production are farmed sustainably, and the focus is on delivering the best Aragonez in the country, from an old vineyard, as well as expressions full of character from the region's native or typical grape varieties, approved by the Arruda DOC: Arinto and Vital, Tinta Miúda and Syrah.
Clay-limestone terroir of Kimeridgian in DOC Arruda, located at an altitude of over 300 meters, between the sea and the Tagus River. Single-variety wine made from the Aragonez grape variety (Tempranillo in Spain and Tinta Roriz in the North of Portugal). The malolactic fermentation took place in cement tanks, followed by a 15-month élevage in used French oak barrels from the Aliier forest. Finally, it remains for 4 years in stainless steel vats for its final refinement. "There are 2500 bottles of a red that you cannot miss under any circumstances” wrote the Grandes Escolhas Magazine.
