Luís Lopes is one of the most talented winemakers in Portugal, and in his vibrant youth, he has already accumulated an experience in vineyards, wineries and tastings that few professionals in the world have. From Comte Lafon in Burgundy to almost a decade at the helm of the classic wines of Quinta da Pellada, to New Zealand and leading projects as different and challenging as the wines of Alvear in the Spanish Estremadura, the humble Luís always surpasses himself. His personal project Moreish reveals his most spontaneous side, with wines that are as unusual from grapes and techniques discovered in his travels around the world, as they are delicious, to make you want more!

Wine:
Vineyard planted in 2016, on a not very steep slope. The lower part of the slope is clay with pebbles and the upper part of the slope is calcareous clay (leaving the hand white).

Garnacha is destemmed, but without crushing the berries. Vinified in stainless steel and aged in used barrels. 500 liters of French oak, aged for two years. The bottling and 3 months of bottle aging took place in the same place where the grapes came from, in Spain, and the winemaking took place at Bodega Palacio Quemado, where Luís is a consultant. It was bottled with low doses of  sulphites, without fining or filtering, directly from the barrel.

Luís highlights that Garnacha  Common (as called in Extremadura) is very well adapted to adverse conditions. It takes a long time to mature and does not lose pH or acidity easily.
