━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Producer
Oddero Poderi e Cantine is one of the most historic names in Barolo, with roots dating back over 200 years and a deep influence on the region’s culture of fine wine. If Burgundy boasts names such as Musigny, Chambertin and Romanée-Conti, Barolo responds with its grand crus — Vignarionda, Brunate, Bussia — all organically farmed by the Oddero family. In this house, you will always find Barolos of place, in their most classical and traditional expression, capturing the intoxicating perfume of Nebbiolo on sacred soils.

Description
Oddero’s Barolo Brunate 2018 is a complete wine. The word is not used lightly — this wine has everything: freshness, balance, structure, depth, and a character that will only grow with age. From a tiny 0.4 ha plot in Brunate (La Morra), one of Barolo’s most prestigious crus.

Acquired by the Oddero family in 1968 and farmed organically since 2010, the vines are now 50–60 years old, rooted in the blue marl of Sant’Agata. Production is strictly limited to around 2,000 bottles per year, highlighting its rarity.

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a long 25-day maceration is followed by 30 months of aging in large Slavonian oak botti, and a further year in bottle before release. The vinification honours the grape and terroir — this is a wine crafted to age and to move.
