Description
A rare jewel from the steep volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, the Sant’Andrea Bianco 2019 is one of the most profound expressions of Carricante. Sourced from pre-phylloxera vines aged between 100 and 120 years, this wine reveals the full potential of the grape when grown at high altitude, in mineral-rich volcanic soils, and handled with artisanal care.
Fermented with native yeasts and macerated on the skins, it develops a layered and vibrant aromatic profile: ripe white fruit, lemon peel, wet stone and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is firm and textured, with incisive acidity, intense salinity and a long, structured finish that speaks of ageworthiness and volcanic purity.
Only a handful of wines in Italy deliver this combination of power, finesse, and soulful terroir expression.
