Sybille Kuntz is considered one of the most talented women in wine, and always manages to create true expressions of her land, with an impressive profile of power and minerality, through the glorious combination of Mosel, Riesling, extremely steep slopes and very old vines planted on uncultivated stock. To enhance her magnificent terroir, already considered a “grand cru” in the Napoleonic era, the vigneron has been working organically since 1990, and took a step forward in 2016, when she obtained the biodynamic certificate. From the entry-level Riesling to the Spätlese, all are trocken (dry).

"Full screwcapped bottle just 1,194 g. Certified biodynamic.
Bright, pale green-gold. Intense wild-flower aromas, the hallmark of a biodynamic wine? A real spread of flavor of the palate with huge extract for a Kabinett. This is far from a feather-light aperitif; it's a serious wine for the table. Some Mosel purists may seek more obvious acidity in a 2023 at this stage but it's already a delicious wine with pungent lime flavors and a hint of something mineral. Yields must have been very low! Sybille Kuntz is synonymous with precision and energy in the Mosel. The cuvée Trocken Cabinet 2023 represents the initial level of Prädikatsweine, but carries the seriousness and depth of a great terroir worked with biodynamic principles.
Produced from old vines (40–60 years old) in the Pauls side valley, part of the prestigious vineyard Lieser Castle, where the heat is reflected as if by a natural parabolic mirror. The soils are pure Devonian blue slate, giving the wine a distinct and electrifying mineral character.
Hand-harvested in small boxes to protect the integrity of the grapes. Indigenous yeasts conduct fermentation in stainless steel, without chaptalization, without malolactic fermentation, with aging on fine lees until spring. A dry, tense Kabinett, with delicate white fruit and a saline finish.
