Sybille Kuntz is considered one of the most talented women in wine, and always manages to create true expressions of her land, with an impressive profile of power and minerality, through the glorious combination of Mosel, Riesling, extremely steep slopes and very old vines planted on uncultivated stock. To enhance her magnificent terroir, already considered a “grand cru” in the Napoleonic era, the vigneron has been working organically since 1990, and took a step forward in 2016, when she obtained the biodynamic certificate. From the entry-level Riesling to the Spätlese, all are trocken (dry).

THE Riesling Spätlese Trocken 2017 by Sybille Kuntz is a cult wine. Coming from the top of the emblematic hillside Lower Berg Helden, where the vines reach 100 years of age and the slope exceeds 70%, this is the crème de la crème of the producer's dry late harvest.
With a highly selective harvest, the wine is made from golden, ripe and botrytis-free berries. The result is a electrifying white, which combines aromatic power, mineral precision and a vibrant acidity that structures the entire set.
Tasting Notes
Jancis Robinson:
“Extremely intense nose leaps out of the glass in golden, super-ripe mode. But look at the alcohol! Feel that acidity! This is a finely wrought baby. So thrilling! Throbbing finish. Seize it.”
