Cancellation and return policy

6. Cancellation and Returns Policy
6.1 Temple Wines acknowledges the right of all its customers to withdraw from contracts entered into with the company, allowing returns within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14th.

6.2 The process of cancellation or return is handled on a case-by-case basis by Temple Wines. To request an exchange or return, customers must contact Temple Wines via email at info@templewines.eu within 14 days of receiving physical possession of the goods (order), indicating the order number or the document number that accompanied the order, and taking into account the following conditions:

a) To return an order, the product must be in perfect resale condition, including original packaging, accessories or promotional gifts (if applicable), and accompanied by proof of purchase or invoice.
b) The cost of returning the product to Temple Wines is the responsibility of the customer.
c) Temple Wines will cover shipping and collection costs in cases of defective or incorrect products, unless the error is attributable to the consumer.
d) Once the goods have been received at our premises and their condition verified as compliant, a refund will be processed via the original payment method (see section 6.6). If this is not possible, the customer must provide proof of payment and account or card ownership for the refund to be made by bank transfer.
e) Temple Wines undertakes to refund the customer within a maximum of 14 days from the date on which it was informed of the decision to withdraw from the contract, covering all payments received, including delivery charges. However, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods, as per Article 13(2) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14th.
Refunds will be made via the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed, provided that the customer does not incur any costs as a result of the refund.
f) If the value of the products exchanged differs from the original order, the settlement terms will be communicated by Temple Wines.
g) All communications regarding returns must be conducted via the following email: info@templewines.eu

6.3 Temple Wines guarantees the authenticity and compliance of wines with their descriptions. However, details regarding bottle fill levels and the condition or absence of capsules and labels are provided for information purposes only.
Temple Wines cannot guarantee the condition of the wines as bottled and is not liable for issues arising during production (e.g., reduction, brettanomyces, volatile acidity, etc.). Furthermore, Temple Wines is not liable for wines affected by TCA (2,4,6-trichloroanisole — “cork taint”), or for any other closure-related or natural development faults. Organoleptic characteristics are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed, especially in low-intervention wines.

6.4 Temple Wines will not accept returns of products that have been used, altered, or modified.

6.5 Temple Wines is not responsible for damage resulting from improper use, negligence, poor storage conditions, or force majeure.

6.6 The conditions described in sections 6.1 to 6.6 apply to mainland Portugal. For other regions and/or countries, sections 6.1 to 6.8 apply.

6.8 For regions/countries outside mainland Portugal — i.e., Madeira and Azores archipelagos, Europe, and the Rest of the World — the cost of returning the goods/order is the responsibility of the customer. Temple Wines will refund the customer all payments received, including delivery charges, in accordance with Article 13(2) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14th, via the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed and provided that the customer does not incur any costs as a result of the refund.
