The Rhône Valley has long been a region we deeply admired, but in 2025 we had the opportunity to return together for a particularly meaningful journey. Accompanied by Luís Lopes and João Costa from the Domínio do Açor team, we travelled through the Rhône with a specific purpose: to deepen our understanding of granite soils and bring new insights to our work in the Dão. It became one of the most memorable and inspiring wine trips we have ever experienced.
During that week, we visited some of the Rhône's most legendary producers, including Pierre Gonon, René Rostaing, Jamet, Auguste Clape and Franck Balthazar, estates that have shaped the identity of the region and continue to define excellence in Northern Rhône wine.
At the same time, we revisited two long-standing passions that we had hoped for years to bring to Temple Wines. The first was the extraordinary biodynamic white wines of Georges Vernay, one of the defining names of Condrieu and a benchmark for Viognier worldwide. The second was Domaine Marc Sorrel, whose profound Hermitage wines represent, in our view, one of the very few estates capable of standing alongside the legendary Jean-Louis Chave. The estate's flagship Hermitage recently received a perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, further confirming its place among the world's greatest Syrahs.
This collection of Rhône Valley wines is the result of that experience, that research and our deep admiration for a region of remarkable identity and diversity.

These wines reflect not only the region's geological richness but also the personalities, traditions and philosophies that make the Rhône one of the most compelling wine regions in the world.
From the granite slopes of the Northern Rhône to some of France's most historic vineyards, this selection brings together wines that continue to inspire us through their authenticity, energy and sense of place.
For us, the Rhône is more than a great wine region. It is a region that constantly teaches, surprises and rewards those willing to explore its extraordinary diversity.
