Tuscany

Tuscany is one of the most important regions in the identity of Temple Wines. For Guilherme Corrêa, it is also a deeply personal place. It was in Italy, and particularly in Tuscany, that he spent some of the most formative years of his wine journey, studying with the Associazione Italiana Sommelier and building the foundation that would later lead him to become one of the world's most respected sommeliers.

It was during this period, several decades ago, that Guilherme had the rare privilege of being mentored by Gianfranco Soldera, one of the most influential figures in modern Italian wine. Soldera not only introduced him to some of Italy's greatest wines, but also opened the doors to producers, regions and philosophies that would profoundly shape his understanding of fine wine.

Those years created unforgettable memories and experiences through travels across Italy alongside Gianfranco, visiting legendary producers such as Gravner, Valentini, Giuseppe Mascarello, Giacomo Conterno and many other estates that Soldera admired and respected, and that, in turn, held immense respect for him.

This connection makes it particularly meaningful that Temple Wines remains the exclusive importer of Soldera in Portugal. It also helps explain why our collection of Tuscany wines is so personal, so carefully curated and so deeply rooted in experience.

Here you will find not only the region's iconic and historic names, but also producers we championed long before they became internationally celebrated. Among them is Le Ragnaie, a near neighbour of Soldera in Montalcino and today one of the most highly regarded estates in the appellation, earning outstanding international acclaim and recognition in Rajat Parr's Atlas of Taste.

This collection is the result of a genuine and long-standing relationship with Tuscany: a region defined not only by its historic greatness, but also by emotion, memory, discipline and terroir. It brings together wines that represent the finest expressions of the region, selected with context, conviction and a deep personal connection to one of the most important chapters in the history of Temple Wines.

We have also chosen to include Noelia Ricci, a producer located just outside Tuscany, whose exceptional Sangiovese offers outstanding value and beautifully complements the spirit of this collection.
