Clos Cibonne Tibouren Tradition Rosé 2024 is one of the most distinctive and celebrated rosé wines of Provence, crafted from the rare Tibouren grape variety at the historic Clos Cibonne estate. Located on the schist-rich slopes of the Maures mountain range, just 800 metres from the Mediterranean Sea, this extraordinary vineyard has been cultivated by the Roux family for nearly 230 years and is recognised as a Cru Classé of Provence.

Unlike most contemporary rosés, which focus on immediate fruit and freshness, Tibouren Tradition Rosé follows a centuries-old winemaking tradition that delivers remarkable complexity, character and ageing potential. The estate's unique maritime terroir, shaped by cooling sea breezes and clay-schist soils, provides ideal conditions for producing wines of freshness, depth and authenticity.

The wine is composed of 90% Tibouren, one of Provence's rarest indigenous varieties, complemented by 10% Grenache. The vineyards are sustainably farmed, with manual vineyard work and hand harvesting to ensure optimal fruit quality. Following direct pressing and slow fermentation in stainless steel, the wine spends 12 months ageing in century-old oak foudres under a veil of yeast known as "fleurette", a technique reminiscent of the sous-voile ageing methods of Jura. This rare process contributes exceptional texture, complexity and saline character.

The colour is a delicate shade between salmon and pale orange. Aromatically, the wine is captivating and highly distinctive, offering layers of exotic fruits, preserved clementine, dried rose petals, sweet spices, white pepper, ginger and subtle liquorice. With aeration, more complex notes of white truffle, mature citrus and maritime salinity emerge, creating an extraordinarily expressive bouquet.

On the palate, Clos Cibonne Tibouren Tradition Rosé 2024 is textured, generous and vibrant. Its remarkable combination of volume, freshness and savoury complexity sets it apart from virtually any other rosé in the world. The finish is long, spicy and saline, supported by discreet oak integration and impressive depth.

For collectors, sommeliers and enthusiasts seeking a truly terroir-driven rosé wine, Clos Cibonne remains one of the most original and compelling expressions of Provence, combining history, rarity and profound character in every bottle.
