About Temple Talks
Temple Talks is a series of private gatherings where wine serves as the starting point for a deeper conversation.
This is not a traditional wine tasting, nor a formal presentation. It is an intimate setting designed for a small group, where we open exceptional bottles and explore, with time and attention, everything that lies behind each wine.
Origin, geology, vineyard decisions, cellar practices, historical context and critical interpretation.
Here, wine is not simply tasted. It is understood.

About Us
Over the past decades, our work has been built upon close relationships with producers and a constant search for wines with identity.
We regularly visit regions such as Burgundy, Piedmont, Jura, Champagne and many of Portugal's most important wine regions, working closely with producers who are helping define contemporary wine culture. More than selecting wines, we seek to understand the decisions behind every bottle: soil, climate, harvest timing, extraction methods and the role of oak.
We taste hundreds of wines every year under a rigorous selection process and a clear editorial vision. Not every wine we encounter becomes part of our portfolio. It is precisely this process of comparison, analysis and reflection that we bring to these sessions.
Temple Talks is a natural extension of that journey. A space where we share not only wines, but also context, references, questions and accumulated experience.
Session Theme
Granite Wines
Our fascination with granite-grown wines began long before this session was conceived.
Over the years, some of the most exciting wines we have ever tasted have come from granite terroirs: from Dão to Galicia, from Beaujolais to the Northern Rhône, and of course, Gredos.
However, it was alongside Pedro Parra, widely regarded as the world's leading terroir expert, during our time working together at Domínio do Açor and Cortes de Cima, that we truly began to understand the depth and qualitative potential of granite soils. Through vineyard walks, soil pits and countless conversations about geology, we confirmed why granite deserves its place among the world's great wine-growing soils.
For decades, limestone naturally occupied a central place in discussions about the world's greatest wines. And rightly so. Yet granite, when combined with the right climate, exposure, altitude and degree of soil weathering (Pedro Parra's famous alterites), can produce wines of extraordinary elegance, energy, precision and ageing potential, capable of standing alongside the finest limestone-grown wines.
In this second edition of Temple Talks, we will explore different interpretations of this fascinating terroir through producers and regions where granite plays a defining role.
Rather than comparing regions or grape varieties, our objective is to understand how a shared geological origin can give rise to some of the most profound, elegant and emotionally compelling wines in the world.
