Production

Inspired by the ancestral pétillant naturel method, AMA® No. 404 is crafted from organic black tea sourced from the village of Indulgashinna in Sri Lanka and elderberries, using spontaneous fermentation, precise microbial control, and modern winemaking techniques. A contemporary interpretation of sparkling wines before Champagne, focused on balance, precision, and sophistication.

Tasting Notes

Displays a delicate salmon-pink hue with fine, silky bubbles. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberries and fresh raspberries emerge, with a subtle herbal and mineral liveliness. On the palate, it is clean and precise, with crisp acidity and well-balanced freshness.

Origin of the Raw Materials

Organic Black Tea — Indulgashinna, Uva, Sri Lanka

Harvested at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,800 meters, this tea comes from the first village in Sri Lanka to receive organic certification (1987) and biodynamic certification (1999). With a strong social and environmental commitment, the estate has operated under Fairtrade certification since 1992 and runs education, housing, and sustainability programs for more than 2,100 community members. The summer orange pekoe brings complexity, structure, and gentle spice to the final profile.

Ideal with roasted vegetables, seafood starters, charcuterie, white meats (such as duck or lamb), soft cheeses, and fruit-based desserts.

Serving

Serve in a white wine glass between 11–13 °C. Open carefully to preserve the integrity of the bubbles.
