Description
From a steep hillside vineyard known as βNiagaraβ, planted in the 1960s at nearly 500 meters altitude, this is a luminous and fragrant expression of Fleurie. The pink granite soils, extremely shallow and poor in nutrients, create natural restraint and aromatic precision in the Gamay grape.
Julien Sunier vinifies with a gentle, low-intervention approach: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and aging in used Burgundy barrels for up to 11 months. The result is a Fleurie of transparency and lift, showing bright red fruits, delicate florals, and fine mineral tension. A cru Beaujolais of great finesse and authenticity.
