About the Producer

Founded in 1928 in Tain-l’Hermitage, Domaine Marc Sorrel is a revered benchmark in the Northern Rhône. Deeply rooted in family tradition, the estate is now run by Guillaume Sorrel, son of Marc Sorrel. The family is celebrated for its meticulous work in the historic terroirs of Le Méal and Les Rocoules, crafting wines of elegance, density and exceptional longevity.
In 2024, the domaine was elevated to the elite of French viticulture with the award of 3 stars by La Revue du Vin de France.

Tasting Notes

Le Gréal 2023 opens with an intense bouquet of raspberries, black cherries, liquorice and an intriguing earthy-mineral backdrop. On the palate, it shows remarkable granitic freshness, ultra-fine tannins and vibrant energy extending into a long finish marked by rare mineral purity. A deep, focused red, steeped in the austere character of Hermitage.
