Sourced from exceptionally old vineyards, between 80 and 100 years of age, planted at elevations ranging from 550 to 650 metres in the Douro Superior, this wine originates from predominantly north-facing sites rooted in mica-schist soils transitioning into granite. These high-altitude vineyards provide naturally slow ripening conditions, preserving acidity and delivering remarkable aromatic definition.

The blend is composed of 80% Rabigato and 20% Malvasia Fina, combining structure, freshness and aromatic complexity. Fermentation takes place in old oak barrels of varying sizes (225 and 500 litres) using indigenous yeasts, followed by twelve months of ageing on fine lees without bâtonnage. In the 2023 vintage, an additional six months in stainless steel further refined the wine's profile, enhancing its tension, purity and precision.

The result is a strikingly dry and mineral white wine with exceptional freshness, supported by a remarkably low pH of 2.9 and vibrant natural acidity. Aromas of citrus fruits, wildflowers and Mediterranean herbs are intertwined with a pronounced mineral character that reflects the vineyard's unique geological composition.
