Quinta de Sant’Ana Late Harvest Riesling 2020

Organic · 100% Riesling · Atlantic Sweet Wine · Vinho Regional Lisboa

A sweet organic wine with an Atlantic soul, crafted entirely from Riesling in the hills of Lisbon.

Story & Origin

The history of Quinta de Sant’Ana reads like a novel: an Englishman, James Frost, decides to revive his German wife’s abandoned family estate, raising their children there, cultivating the land and producing wines of strong identity. Alongside one of Portugal’s most respected winemakers, António Maçanita, this family partnership has revealed the hidden potential of the Lisbon region.

Certified organic since 2015, the estate works with indigenous yeasts, minimal sulphur and a deeply honest, low-intervention philosophy.

This Late Harvest 2020, made from 100% Riesling harvested late and affected by noble rot, is a rare sweet wine where Atlantic freshness and limestone minerality merge beautifully with the grape’s natural sweetness and vibrant acidity.

Tasting Notes

Golden amber colour.
Intense aromas of juicy lime, honeycomb, apricot jam, quince marmalade and salted pistachio.
On the palate, it is rich and unctuous yet perfectly balanced by refreshing acidity and a distinct coastal salinity.
The finish is long, energetic and precise.
