Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne (La Pierre Ronde) Ladoix Blanc 1er Cru “Les Gréchons” 2024

Burgundy – France

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Producer

Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne is one of the most compelling voices of Burgundy’s new generation. Trained in agronomy and oenology, he began his career outside the wine world before fully dedicating himself to precise and sensitive viticulture.

Following formative experiences with Olivier Humbrecht and, most notably, eight years alongside Anne-Claude Leflaive at Domaine Leflaive, he developed a vision deeply rooted in biodynamics and in the faithful expression of terroir.

In 2021, he founded Domaine de la Pierre Ronde in Beaune, working with grapes sourced from growers practicing organic or biodynamic farming, often under his direct guidance. His wines reflect a minimal intervention approach, with a strong focus on purity, texture and balance.

The Wine

The Ladoix Blanc 1er Cru “Les Gréchons” 2024 comes from one of the most compelling terroirs of the appellation, known for its mineral, tense and refined character.

In the glass, it shows a pale, luminous colour. The nose reveals notes of white fruit and fresh peach, with an elegant and restrained expression.

On the palate, it stands out for its energy and precision, with vibrant citrus acidity running through the mid-palate, bringing freshness and definition. The profile is more vertical and tense, reflecting the nature of the terroir, with a persistent and harmonious finish.

A white of great purity, where minerality and finesse are clearly expressed, translating the character of Les Gréchons with precision.

Terroir Profile

Les Gréchons is known for its mineral structure and more restrained profile, offering wines of great precision and intensity.

Here, Chardonnay tends toward a more linear and elegant expression, focused on freshness, tension and persistence.
