Sannicola Verdicchio di Matelica 2022 is a classic and elegant expression of one of Italy’s finest white grape varieties, crafted in the renowned Verdicchio di Matelica DOC in the Marche region. Produced exclusively from Verdicchio grown on the hills of Matelica, this wine showcases the distinctive character of a unique inland terroir, where warm days and cool nights promote slow, balanced ripening and exceptional aromatic precision.

Cantina Marani is a small but respected producer dedicated to preserving the identity of Verdicchio di Matelica, one of Italy’s most distinctive white wine appellations. Located far from the Adriatic coast, the estate benefits from a continental climate and significant diurnal temperature variation, conditions that allow Verdicchio to achieve remarkable freshness, complexity and ageing potential.

In the glass, the wine displays a bright straw-yellow colour with green highlights. The nose is expressive and refined, revealing delicate floral aromas alongside notes of green apple, white peach and fresh citrus. A subtle almond nuance, a hallmark of great Verdicchio di Matelica wines, adds depth and authenticity.

On the palate, it offers outstanding balance between fruit, texture and acidity. The structure is precise and harmonious, supported by vibrant freshness that carries through to a long, mineral finish. Its combination of concentration, energy and elegance makes it highly versatile at the table while also suggesting excellent potential for bottle development.

A refined and terroir-driven Italian white wine, Sannicola Verdicchio di Matelica 2022 is an excellent choice for enthusiasts of premium Verdicchio, fine Italian wines and mineral-driven white wines with character and longevity.
