Oddero Barolo Riserva Vignarionda 2019
Barolo DOCG Riserva, Piedmont – Italy
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Description
There are vineyards that are places. And there are vineyards that are destinations. Vignarionda, in Serralunga d’Alba, clearly belongs to the latter.
This Barolo Riserva comes from one of the most revered menzioni geografiche of the appellation. The hill is rounded, as its name suggests, fully south-facing and naturally sheltered from cold winds by the Castelletto ridge. The result is a singular microclimate that allows Nebbiolo to reach full ripeness while preserving tension and precision.
The 2019 vintage is a wine of restrained power, sensuality and absolute class. It combines the austere structure typical of Serralunga with a silky texture and rare aromatic purity. A Barolo to cellar, but also to understand.

Tasting Notes
Deep aromas of ripe black fruit, dried orange peel, apricot, clove, allspice and dry earth. On the palate, it reveals power and density, with very fine, polished tannins that show a subtle moment of sweetness mid-palate.
Long, perfumed finish with persistent minerality.
A Barolo of exemplary balance, built for two decades of bottle ageing.
