Under the supervision of Romain Taupenot, the seventh generation, the family’s sovereign vineyard plots have been organically farmed since 2001, and the wines respect the transparency of their terroirs without the influence of new wood or any other artifice that could divert them from their firm, vibrant essence and pure fruit. Absolute quality is achieved through Romain’s respectful “terroirist” approach at his small domaine in Morey-Saint-Denis.

"It is nicely detailed, mineral-rich with exquisite red and black fruit, the former more than the latter. The palate is effervescent and vivacious on the opening, with fine definition, Seville orange and a liberal sprinkling of black pepper and clove towards the satisfyingly long finish. This is a great success and it has the structure to repay cellaring."
