Upon her return to Portugal after years of study and experience abroad, including a bachelor’s degree from the “Harvard of viticulture and oenology”, the University of Adelaide, and internships with spectacular producers in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Stéphane Ogier in Côte-Rotie, the “Anna of the world” decided to reveal a new and incredible Alentejo. From her admirable trials, which range from 700 metres above sea level in the Serra de São Mamede to the sea level of her vineyards on the Alentejo Coast, the refinement, precision and freshness reverberate with contagious energy. The exploration of the terroir, organic cultivation and unique care with viticulture give life to extremely vertical wines full of “drama factor”.

Wine:
The pure essence of the Atlantic coast of Alentejo. A single-vineyard wine, 100% Cabernet Franc, located on the slopes of the Serra de São Luís, where the Mira River meets the sea, and grown organically. Salino Tinto combines the purest notes of blackcurrant and herbs with the intense coastal character of iodine, brine and dried seaweed. The palate is elegant and energetic, with a strong mineral character and notes of graphite. A refreshing acidity leads the wine to a long and elegant finish like a sea breeze.

Score: 94/100 Jamie Goode

"Cabernet Franc. Coastal vineyard. Destemmed then 20 day infusion, followed by 2 years in tank. Lively and bright, chalky and mineral with focused red berry fruits and nice acidity. Supple and fine with great intensity."
