Tasting Notes
A rare and vibrant wine, deeply connected to the land and to Portugal’s agricultural history. It shows restrained white fruit, dried flower notes and a distinctive saline and mineral edge, reflecting high-altitude granite soils. Firm and dry, with subtle acidity, delicate texture and a finish that balances elegance with a sense of farewell — the final breath of a century-old vineyard.
Context
Moreish Roupeiro tells the story of a vineyard planted nearly 100 years ago, abandoned by its last caretakers in Beira Interior. This wine represents the final harvest of that parcel, which was uprooted after the 2024 vintage. The decision to preserve this agricultural and human testimony is, in itself, a manifesto of resistance and memory. This wine is a liquid tribute to Portuguese rural resilience.
