Producer

The Algarve’s most exciting and authentic wines, together with the region’s largest collection of old vineyards, are found at Morgado do Quintão, an estate founded in the early 1810s by the 1st Count of Silves. Under the direction of Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos and winemaker Joana Maçanita, the project works exclusively with indigenous grape varieties, native yeasts and a minimal-intervention philosophy, revealing a fresher, more vibrant Algarve deeply connected to its viticultural heritage.

Wine

The Morgado do Quintão Pét Nat 2025 is the result of a long-held ambition to create a natural sparkling wine that would remain genuinely faithful to the estate’s philosophy. After numerous trials, adjustments and considerable persistence, the result is a wine that needs little introduction: it speaks for itself.

Produced from Arinto, Fernão Pires and Castelão, this Pét Nat is youthful, irreverent and naturally cloudy, without artifice or cosmetic winemaking. It completes its natural fermentation in bottle, preserving the energy, freshness and authenticity of the fruit.

On the nose, it reveals citrus, green apple and white flowers, accompanied by a delicate note of natural fermentation. The palate is vibrant, dry and refreshing, with fine bubbles, excellent tension and a saline finish that immediately invites another glass.

This is a wine made to be shared, perfect for summer afternoons, relaxed occasions and informal meals where freshness and spontaneity take centre stage.
