A historic estate with an exceptional heritage of old vines, Domínio do Açor was acquired by a group of friends in 2021. The estate is located in a fascinating setting near the medieval village of Oliveira do Conde.
“Domínio” reflects the philosophy of crafting great terroir-driven wines in Dão, from estate-grown grapes, while “do Açor” evokes its dramatic geography, facing the Serra do Açor.

With terroir master Pedro Parra as consultant and the talented Luís Lopes — who trained with Comtes Lafon in Burgundy and Quinta da Pellada in Dão — as winemaker, the house style is defined by elegance, freshness, and granite-driven minerality.

Description
An absolutely singular red wine, crafted from a very old vineyard of Jaen, planted in granite soils at altitude. The purest and most mineral expression of this variety in the region, showing freshness, silky texture, and aromatic depth. A wine of small production and unique character — a Dão of distinctive identity.

Tasting Notes
