It is incredible that Le Puy still goes unnoticed even by the eyes of the best Bordeaux connoisseurs, despite its 400 years of history. It is authentic. It is surprising. It is rich in personality and history. It stands out because it is born in the small AOC Francs. It is made almost exclusively from the Merlot grape variety, and has never been classified by any ranking. Its natural philosophy practiced in the vineyards and in the cellar is not at all common in the region: in 1868 it already questioned the use of sulphites in winemaking. Its roots are in limestone soils that extend from the plateau of the glamorous neighbouring Saint-Émilion.
