Susana Esteban
Cabriolet Touriga Nacional 2024
96 points - Revista de Vinhos (2023 vintage)
The nose is intense, vibrant, full of fresh dark fruits, with a slight floral background and a touch of undergrowth. On the palate, it maintains the intensity, shows its muscles, but in a discreet way. It is full of layers, has vibrant acidity, depth and breadth. It is an elegant Touriga, with an endless finish and long ageing potential.
DESCRIPTION
The Serra de Sao Mamede, due to its location, altitude and climatic influence, is one of the most singular zones in Portugal for the production of fresh and precise wines. It is in this context that Cabriolet Touriga Nacional 2024 was born - a wine that explores the most elegant and vibrant face of the grape variety.
Touriga Nacional is particularly sensitive to freshness, and when planted in granitic soils - as in this case - it reveals an expression of great aromatic purity, definition and balance. Susana Esteban favours restraint, the natural energy of the fruit and the transparency of the terroir, resulting in a deeply elegant Touriga with structure but without excess.
A wine of enormous depth, conceived both for immediate pleasure and long evolution in the bottle.
